How We Make Money
StackScored earns money through affiliate commissions. When you click a link on our site and make a purchase, we may receive a commission from the seller at no additional cost to you.
We partner with affiliate programs including (but not limited to): Amazon Associates, ClickBank, ShareASale, CJ Affiliate, Impact, and direct brand affiliate programs.
Our Editorial Independence
Our affiliate relationships do not influence our ratings or recommendations. We rate products based on our testing methodology, which evaluates measurable criteria such as performance, features, pricing, and user experience.
We frequently recommend products that offer lower commissions (or no commissions at all) when they genuinely outperform higher-commission alternatives. Our credibility depends on honest recommendations — it's both our ethical obligation and our business strategy.
How We Test and Rate Products
Every product recommendation is based on a transparent, data-backed methodology. For each category we review, we publish our specific testing criteria, scoring weights, and methodology. You can find these details in the "Our Testing Methodology" section of every review page.
Our ratings consider:
- Measurable performance metrics (speed, uptime, response time, etc.)
- Feature-to-price ratio
- User experience and ease of use
- Customer support quality
- Real pricing including renewal rates (not just intro prices)
What This Means for You
- You pay the same price — clicking our affiliate links does not increase the price you pay
- We may earn a commission — the seller pays us a referral fee from their marketing budget
- Our ratings are independent — we don't adjust scores based on commission rates
- We link to multiple sellers — when possible, we provide links to different retailers so you can choose your preferred store
Identifying Affiliate Links
Pages containing affiliate links are marked with an "(Ad)" disclosure at the top of the page, before any product content. Individual affiliate links near product recommendations include a reminder disclosure.
This labeling complies with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Endorsement Guides, the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) CAP Code, and applicable advertising regulations in other jurisdictions.
